Adventuring to CO: Packing & Sketching

Taking a spur of the moment trip to Denver, Colorado! Decided to take my carryover PTO days before they expire at the end of the month! One thing I realized while packing: anything can happen. It snowed on Tuesday, but it is supposed to be 60 degrees tomorrow. I plan to spend time in the mountains, the cities, going on bike rides and on brewery tours, and everything in between. That means a pretty versatile wardrobe is in order -- everything from dresses to pullovers and hiking boots to sandals -- whew. Excited to explore a new city!

With some free time today, I released some of my giddy excitement for the trip by playing around with one of my favorite quotes by John Muir. 

Digital ad at the Clinton National Airport: Arkansas Parks & Tourism

Diamonds have been a hot topic lately around Arkansas because so many visitors are coming away with big prizes. Visitors to Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, AR have found more than 30,000 diamonds since the park opened in 1972. In 2013, the park was gaining national attention in media sources like National Geographic and Gawker. CJRW and Arkansas Parks & Tourism put up some digital ads in the luggage areas at the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport to ramp up even more tourism to the site. Here are four I had the opportunity to make. 

Rebrand: The Oxygen Project

I recently had the opportunity to rebrand The Oxygen Project. It is a program run by Stamp Out Smoking here in Arkansas. The program informs universities around the state about the dangers of using tobacco. Now that the state has passed laws that actually ban using tobacco on college campuses, The Oxygen Project wanted an updated look.

Below is a document using full page images and clean lines. Their logo has undergone small but dramatic changes to complete the modernized look.

Oaklawn Racing & Gaming: Legendary Print Ad

This is a concept for an ad that ran recently. The final ad is a little less flashy, but I am partial to the one below.  Presidents Day is a big day (and weekend) for Oaklawn, nearly 20,000 people came out this weekend to watch the races!

Branding: Kids for the Future

Kids for the Future is a series of pediatric day centers across Arkansas.  This client was totally open to new branding, so I was able to create a new look for a series of print materials, including: brochures, ads, banners, fliers and more. The agency I work for also created a new website for Kids for the Future, which you can visit here!

Signs of Spring

As the winter has grown longer and longer, I find myself yearning for spring more and more every day. And so, spring is my inspiration this Sunday. Stay golden!

The Art of Packing

 Inspired by artful packing, I have made my own packing grid. Start with the size of your bag, learn how to fold t-shirts, jackets, pants etc… and how to situate them so that everything fits. A bonus — you don’t have to iron all the items again when you reach your destination. The Louis Vuitton interactive packing experience allows you to interact and follow the folding instructions step by step, or simply play the video and watch the process.
